Member Spotlight: Ernest Chapman

One of the things we love most about Music City Work Club is when someone walks in and immediately gets what we are building here, and Ernest Chapman is one of those people.

Ernest is the founder of Brand Therapy, and he has made Music City Work Club his home base. His work sits at the intersection of creativity, identity, and business strategy, helping people and companies align who they are with what they are building and how the market sees them.

In our conversation, Ernest broke down what Brand Therapy really means. It is not just about logos and color palettes. It is about aligning the people behind a business to the business itself and to the market. He walks clients through five stages, from alignment to positioning to messaging to aesthetics and ultimately into integration, making sure that every layer of a brand reflects something true and something the market actually wants.

What stood out most to us is how deeply Ernest thinks about identity. He talked about the difference between having a cool idea and having a validated business, and how the visionary behind the brand has to love what they are building or the whole thing falls apart. He also brought up something we think about a lot here, the idea that as AI catches up and begins to close the gap on what humans can produce, the things that will matter most are human connection, human optimization, and creativity.

Ernest comes from a unique background. His dad and stepdad were both therapists. His mom is a hit songwriter. He has lived through three major seasons of alignment, first as a musician, then as a music teacher, and now as a brand therapist and marketer. That blend of creative depth and business strategy is exactly the kind of energy that makes this community stronger.

He also challenged us in the best way. Ernest pushed us to think about Music City Work Club not as a co-working space but as a culture, a tribe, a place where visionaries come to do the work that matters most, becoming more fully themselves. He talked about the importance of having mentors, elders, and people in the room who have walked the road and can help guide others through their own journey.

That is exactly what we are building here. A space where life and work come together, where people are not just getting things done but growing, connecting, and creating something meaningful.

We are grateful Ernest Chapman is part of Music City Work Club.
